During the month of October, South Dublin County Sports Partnership is offering members of the public a free fitwalk programme in various public parks and greens around the county. The programme incorporates usage of the outdoor exercise equipment that South Dublin County Council has installed in the parks along with short walks and is ideally suited to active retired and to those seeking to become more active. The weekly activity is lead by trained tutors who are also on hand to offer advice on other opportunities that are available to keep physically active.
